SIFA was formed in April 1994 to provide collegiality for practitioners working in smaller independently owned and operated financial planning practices.

Members cannot belong to franchises, chains, institutional firms, banks or product providers and must be independent of production quotas, soft loans etc.

Members must be able to provide freedom of choice in the selection of their client’s products.

SIFA’s main activity is to run semi-annual conferences for its members.

To ensure members of SIFA provide the public with independent financial advice while upholding the highest professional and ethical standards.
